Reverend Jim Curtis

Jim is a native of Oxford, MS.  He attended Oxford High Scholl and graduated from the University of Mississippi with a BA in Philosophy with minors in Psychology and Sociology.  He was listed in the National Dean’s list from 1977-1980.  After college he attended Emory University where he graduated Cum Laude and received a Master’s of Divinity.  Jim enjoys reading theology and philosophy and playing guitar.  He used to be an avid sportsman playing baseball and basketball until injuries got the better of him.  His previous appointments as a United Methodist pastor include Tupelo First UMC, Trinity UMC (Gulfport), St Mark’s UMC (Brandon), Iuka First UMC, St Andrew’s (Oxford), Hernando Associate, and Horn Lake.
